"Lawrence creates an engaging and comfortable group setting which is
conducive to softening easily into one's inner world. With his guidance I
readily found a way to be present with personal pain, which I had been
fearfully denying. Within the comfort of my own embrace, I discovered a
way to self-soothe and nurture. The work has directly translated to
daily courage and confidence in facing with dignity, the challenges
which were previously terrifying. Lawrence teaches the tools for
independent growth; but I never want to miss the opportunity to be in
his grace-filled presence and to share in the glowing group dynamic, as
we all share the others' experience with profound appreciation and
depth." -Marlena Rich
"I have a whole new level of presence while serving others. I have access to a level of certainty that I didn’t know was
possible. Discovering and giving my gifts has become far more organic than it had been. Of course, the changes that my
clients are making are phenomenal. I have a whole new ability to stay connected to myself which affects all of the
relationships in my life. But most importantly, working this way is so, so satisfying. " ---Jay Uecker D.C

NSA is used to deepen, and further anchor the changes from the weekend.
Lawrence has been a Network Practitoner since 1987 and on the teaching
staff since 1989. Out of a rich background in Network Spinal Analysis and
other tools, he has integrated an approach to the Spine that is deeply
honoring of its role as Temple to the Divine and Human coming into
manifestation simultaneously. Thus, he has chosen a more appropriate
name of Network Spinal Awakening. This tool is used at a point in the
retreat where the group has become established in SELF. Then the
NSA is set up as a communtiy healing event that is much farther
reaching than in an office visit setting . Click NSA for info.
“The practice of meditation, especially understood as the cultivation of
"mindfulness," is drawing increasing attention in the contemporary
world. Understood in a non-sectarian way, research by the scientific,
psychological, healthcare, interreligious, and other communities is
identifying mindfulness as a potential key to addressing many of the
most pernicious and destructive aspects of modern life.”
--Barry Boyce Mindfulness teacher and writer
DANCING AT THE SACRED EDGE
In the retreat we first establish a deeper connection to a highly resourced
state within, that you can recreate in a home practice. This is the
Mindfulness Meditations we teach. Then we reinforce this state again
and again, and in ever deepening ways. In the Mindfulness
Navigations, we work more directly with the primitive brain.
Prominent among the meditations we will teach is a unique form of mindfulness developed by zen
monk , Shinzen Young. These tools refine ancient practices that gently and easily establishes
Clarity/ Focus/ and Equanimity in your nervous system. In addition, Lawrence uses his
background as a Transcendental Meditation and Art of Living instructor, to create effortlessness
in the practices. Also, the work he has done with another of his teachers, Neil Cohen, has added
the key ingredient of deep kindness towards the humaness. This includes an approach towards
the human habits of distractions and resistance that is so gentle that these habits become sacred
edges and turning points to repattern the most deep sense of separation from our Divine Source.
We tend to live our lives within habit. Yet most of our evolution occurs at the edge of the
comfort of the familiar. To live at the Edge of the resources of the familiar with the unknown
resources of unfamiliar is a place that is the most alive. Just like falling in love, we are meant to
be awake to the moment which holds both the familiar and unfamiliar-The Sacred Edge
The meditations we teach help you and your nervous system repattern your reflex brain to
include much more consistent living at the aliveness and growth of the Sacred Edge
The momentum of the retreat will afford the participant to go
even deeper in Part 2. They will attain a more embodied skill
in remaining in the centered place of Being while engaging or
serving "Other". I have been serving on the Network teaching
staff since 1989, often working with the hands-on groups and
helping them find the flow within, which informs any
technique.
However, through this and other background, We have been able to set up situations that mock
up your particular way of serving in this world and then coaching you through where you go
unconscous. The coaching will anchor a deeper way of remaining in your most resourced place
within and offer more resource to"other" as a result. ALL relations will benefit.
